No Judgments, Just Jesus

Tuesday Prayers

Evening Prayer

Leader: Gracious God, in Jesus Christ you broke the barrier of sin and pain which separates us from our neighbor, ourselves, and you. We seek your grace so we might move from alienation to new life.
People: So God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we deny your presence in our busy days—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we feel justified in our anger and resentment toward others—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we judge others before looking at ourselves—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we try and forget those in need because it is too overwhelming to us—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we refuse to follow your will because we are fearful and untrusting—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: When we seek the security of false gods and turn our faces from your light—
People: O God, grant us new life in you.
Leader: O God, do grant us new life in you, so that our cries of confession might be transformed into alleluias of restoration. We pray in the name of our Savior.
People: Amen.

Blessing:
May you give God full access to your story. May you allow Him to correct and redirect; heal and deal; refine and define. May you remember that you’re part of a plan that’s bigger than you are. May you trust in the Lord’s work in your life so He can use you in ways beyond your wildest dreams. Lean in and trust Him. He’s got you. Walk forward with expectant faith and a listening ear!

Afternoon Prayer

Bible Song: Psalm 115:12-18
The Lord remembers us and will bless us;
He will bless the house of Israel,
He will bless the house of Aaron,
He will bless those who fear the Lord-
small and great alike.

May the Lord cause you to increase,
both you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

The highest heavens belong to the Lord,
but the earth he has given to humankind.
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
those who go down to the place of silence;
It is we who extol the Lord,
both now and forevermore.
Praise the Lord.

Noon Prayer

Celtic Prayer….

I weave a silence on to my lips,
I weave a silence into my mind,
I weave a silence within my heart.

I close my ears to distractions,
I close my eyes to attractions,
I close my heart to temptations.

Calm me, O Lord, as you stilled the storm.
Still me, O Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me Lord in your peace.
-Amen.

Scripture: Galations 5:22-25
By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.

Morning Prayer

St. Patrick’s Breastplate
I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through the belief in the Threeness,
Through the confession of the oneness
Of the Creator of Creation.

I arise today
Through the strength of Christ’s birth with his baptism,
Through the strength of his crucifixion with his burial,
Through the strength of his resurrection with his ascension,
Through the strength of his descent for the Judgement Day…

I arise today
Through God’s strength to pilot me:
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s way to lie before me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me…

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise…
