As announced at this morning’s service, Immanuel Church will make space for “Three Days of Prayer and Fasting” from Monday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 29, culminating in a Prayer Service Wednesday Night at 7:00 p.m. Our inspiration for this is Novahu’s call for 3 days of prayer and fasting after Terri’s passing. During this time, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians came together to pray for the future of the orphanage, school, and village. The reason we are doing this is our desperate need for God’s guidance and grace during this season of Stewardship and beyond.
There are many ways for you to participate during the next three days:
* You may choose to fast the whole time if you wish (although we assume that most will not be physically able to do so). Perhaps you may fast during one meal, or not at all.
* All three days, someone from staff will be available at 9:00 a.m., Noon, 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to lead in a short time of prayer (plan on 15-20 minutes or so).
* If you can’t make any of the times of prayer, feel free to check in at our Facebook Page and Website (immanuelwestbend.org). We will post prayers there as well.
* Finally, we will conclude our time in a special Prayer Service Wednesday Night at 7:00 p.m.
Whether you are able to participate a little or a lot, we are grateful for your commitment to our Church’s mission.
May God richly bless you!
